An Automated Bill Cycle process, allowing Vodafone Roaming Services to produce invoice data, check results, reconcile results and send the information, all from one place.
“Stellaxius did an excellent job – delivered better than the expected project as they were willing to go out of their way to give advice and guidance on the customer experience.”
Vodafone is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world, with a global presence in over 25 countries. The company’s primary goal is to provide high-quality communication and connectivity services to its customers with a wide range of services, a robust infrastructure and an advanced network.
Stellaxius have been partnering with Vodafone since 2008 – that’s a lot of Salesforce projects!
The project’s ambitious goal was to revolutionise the monthly invoice cycle by replacing manual processes with an Automated Bill Cycle Closing Process. This transformative endeavour aimed to seamlessly integrate with Finance Clearing Houses and Data Clearing Houses, streamlining operations and eliminating the need for tedious manual actions.
In this new paradigm, efficiency reigns supreme, ensuring a resource-optimised environment and flawless process control and reconciliation.
Stellaxius team provided a solution consisting of developing a new Salesforce Lightning User Interface, extracting the maximum benefit of Salesforce APP and Lightning components development.
Intensive use of the Salesforce batch processing capabilities was used to produce the invoice data, which VRS subsequently utilised as part of their Roaming Services billing.
An E2E business process approach was applied, allowing for the integration of the communication (export) of invoicing data with the VRS roaming partners in a B2B logic approach. It became possible to initiate the process, check results, reconcile results, and, once approved internally, give the possibility to send all the data using the Vodafone Group Exchange Server.
The implementation required pushing the limits of the Salesforce possibilities of backend processing and extending the use of Salesforce interconnectivity with external systems. All this was achieved using a complementary in-house sub-system, also developed by Stellaxius, called SIP – Salesforce Integration Platform – an EAI framework created on top of Salesforce.
