Are you looking to start a journey as a Lead Data Engineer at Stellaxius?
As a Lead Data Engineer, you'll join our growing Data & Analytics practice to shape the future of data engineering at Stellaxius! You will lead our new capability to build advanced data platforms with Databricks, Snowflake and Informatica. You will drive high-impact projects, mentor talent, and champion data integration and governance solutions. As Lead Data Engineer, your key activities at Stellaxius will be:
• Develop and grow of our internal Data Engineering capability, defining technical standards, reusable frameworks and delivery methodologies for modern data platform implementations.
• Lead end-to-end implementation projects for cloud data platforms, such as Databricks and Snowflake, ensuring scalable, high-performance data engineering solutions that cover the architectural needs outside standard Salesforce capabilities.
• Leverage deep expertise in Informatica for data integration, data quality, Master Data Management and data governance initiatives. Design and implement robust ELT/ETL pipelines to feed and govern data into modern cloud data platforms.
• Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, fostering professional growth, setting technical direction and ensuring great quality standards across all data work streams.
• Contribute to proposals, architecting solutions, providing accurate project scope and timeline estimates and producing comprehensive technical documentation.
• Establish trusted-advisor relationships with key client stakeholders, effectively communicating complex data engineering concepts, aligning technical delivery with business goals and delivering exceptional service.
•Take full ownership of data engineering initiatives from conception to production.
What are we looking for? (Senior/Principal consultant with 10-12 years of experience)
• Expert, hands-on experience designing and implementing robust, modern data platforms using industry-leading technologies, namely Databricks and Snowflake.
• Proven, hands-on experience with Informatica specifically focused on data integration, data quality, Master Data Management and data governance initiatives.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex querying and data optimisation and strong working knowledge of Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation.
• Proven ability to design, develop, and implement complex analytical data models to structure data efficiently for analytics and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to build, manage and mentor an internal team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and delegating tasks effectively.
• Experience leading technical proposals, scoping projects, creating accurate effort/cost estimates, and authoring comprehensive technical documentation.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written in Portuguese and English), with the ability to bridge business and technical requirements, establish strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
• A proactive self-starter who works independently, takes full ownership of practice initiatives, and thrives in a client-facing environment.
• Proven experience working in Agile environments, with familiarity in tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Salesforce and Tableau is considered desirable.
