Gigaclear is a fast-growing broadband provider bringing ultrafast full-fibre connectivity to rural communities across the United Kingdom. Founded with a mission to bridge the digital divide, the company delivers reliable fibre-to-the-premises services to homes and businesses often overlooked by major network providers. 

 

To sustain its rapid expansion and maintain a seamless customer experience, Gigaclear launched a Salesforce Transformation Programme supported by Stellaxius, a Salesforce boutique consultancy known for its advisory-led approach and deep expertise in complex enterprise transformations. Within this broader programme, Stellaxius led the definition of Gigaclear’s Data Strategy, aligning data architecture, governance, and analytics with the company’s ambition to become truly data-driven. 

 

To support this transformation, Gigaclear relied on Salesforce as the backbone of its customer operations, combining Salesforce Communications Cloud and Field Service Lightning to connect teams and streamline processes.  

 

Stellaxius complemented this ecosystem with its Data Strategy, Governance & Optimisation Roadmap Advisory Service, ensuring a consistent flow of information across from source systems into reporting and analytics. This partnership not only secured reporting continuity during the transformation but also laid the groundwork for future automation and advanced analytics initiatives.

Main challenge

As Gigaclear expanded its customer base and operations, data-related inefficiencies began to limit visibility and decision-making, due to: 

  • Extensive manual effort on reporting  
  • Different data definitions across teams 
  • No governance which created multiple “versions of the truth” 

 

Information silos, inconsistent reporting processes and person-specific knowledge introduced operational risk, affecting both internal efficiency and customer experience. 

 

The challenge was to move from a reactive, operational model towards a proactive, insight-driven culture. With the Salesforce Transformation project underway, the company needed a unified data approach to ensure: 

  • reporting continuity 
  • secure data migration between Salesforce environments  
  • prepare the business for predictive analytics. 

The Solution

Stellaxius partnered with Gigaclear’s executive leadership to design and deliver a comprehensive Data Strategy, structured around four interlinked layersApplication, Analytical, Data Products and Governance.

Foundation work 

Stellaxius defined the core data architecture principles and created data dictionaries for all the systems involved, ensuring consistency and accuracy across key customer data sources. 

To operationalise this structure, Stellaxius proposed a future-fit organisational model for Gigaclear’s Data & Analytics function. This included: 

  • Specialised teams for Data Warehousing, Reporting & Insights, and Data Science 
  • Analytics Business Partners acting as the bridge between business and technology 

Governance Framework 

Stellaxius then developed and introduced standardised ownershiplifecycle rules, and a new demand intake process to align analytical work with business priorities. 

Additionally, the advisory team developed a Management KPI Framework, connecting executive metrics to operational performance through a balanced scorecard approach. This enabled Gigaclear to link data outputs directly to business outcomes and maintain alignment across departments. 

Finally, Stellaxius designed a Reporting Strategy to support Salesforce and Power BI continuity, recommending an initial suite of management dashboards and a roadmap for advanced analytics and AI models, including sales forecasting and propensity-to-churn analysis.
