euNetworks now benefits from real-time emission calculations, transparent reporting and full autonomy in managing its sustainability data. The new solution enhances trust in carbon reporting and embeds sustainability directly into the company’s commercial operations.
"Stellaxius played an important role in helping us bring customer-facing carbon data to life. Their team supported the integration of carbon-by-service calculations into our systems, helping us translate our ESG needs into clear requirements and a practical solution. Automation of these calculations had been on our roadmap for some time, and their work has enabled us to provide more seamless, transparent carbon data for the services we sell. This supports our commitment to customers, strengthens carbon transparency, and creates a foundation for more accurate data and better decarbonisation conversations over time. The Stellaxius team handled the project with professionalism, care, and a strong understanding of our needs."
euNetworks is a leading bandwidth infrastructure company, owning and operating dense fibre networks across Europe. With services spanning 17 cities and interconnections to major data centres, the company delivers high-capacity connectivity to enterprises, cloud providers and data-driven organisations.
As part of its environmental commitment, euNetworks needed a reliable way to measure, monitor and report its carbon footprint across operations and services in line with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol.
Stellaxius, a boutique Salesforce consultancy specialised in high-touch Advisory Services, helped euNetworks replace its manual carbon reporting processes with a scalable and automated Salesforce-based solution that strengthens transparency and enables sustainable growth.
Stellaxius delivered a custom Salesforce solution with Sales Cloud, inspired by the Net Zero Cloud architecture, combining Stellaxius Salesforce Solution Architecture & Design and Data Assets Valuation Strategy Advisory and Implementation Services.
The engagement covered process design, data modelling, calculation logic and integration with sales and service workflows to ensure a consistent carbon accounting framework.
Before bringing this challenge to the Stellaxius team at euNetworks, the Sustainability team relied entirely on a complex Excel model for carbon emissions calculation and reporting.
The previous approach was challenged due to:
The company wanted to embed carbon data into its operational systems to gain autonomy and ensure that sustainability metrics evolved alongside its services.
Stellaxius began with a comprehensive discovery phase, analysing the entire service lifecycle, from quotation to delivery, to understand how emissions should be estimated and monitored.
A new custom data model was designed within Salesforce, introducing two key objects:
These were seamlessly integrated with standard Salesforce objects such as Opportunities and Services, allowing euNetworks to calculate projected emissions during quoting and track actual emissions once the service becomes active.
Dynamic dashboards and downloadable reports were created to support regulatory submissions and internal sustainability reporting, while emission factors can now be updated independently through a single interface.
