The Salesforce Spring’22 Release is bringing a lot of updates for all the clouds. But not only sales, service and marketing have their way to the future of Salesforce. Slack and Quip have some enhancements worth taking a look at that will improve your day-to-day tasks with your team, enabling collaboration from anywhere.
The brand new feature Huddles and also Clips makes the digital HQ more similar to the usual on-site day-to-day activities. Also, the enhancements in Quip allows your team to collaborate from anywhere with features that allow you to navigate from document to document easily. 1. Slack
1. Huddles
You already know that Slack is your digital HQ! The best place to deliver easy workflows between your team, systems, partners, and customers.
Now you can achieve the best fast communication between your team with Slack Huddles – the always-available and audio-first way of connecting with people in real-time. Using Huddles, the team has the perfect way to brainstorm or problem-solving, while work keeps on flowing without interruptions. We can compare Huddles to the informal office discussions we had every day at the headquarters, but with screen sharing capabilities.
It really helps with your team’s spontaneity while working from anywhere. Huddles can be created in whatever channel or DM you’re in and inviting people to join! You can set up a conversation until 50 participants and anyone can join after the conversation is ongoing. Also, you can enable live captions (but only in English for now).
2. Clips
You are already familiar with WhatsApp audios, right? Clips are the closest feature to them on Slack!
Clips let you create and share audio and also screen recordings in a channel or DM. You will never need to combine calendars to meet a colleague. You leave a clip on the channel and your teammates will answer when it’s convenient for them.
This feature is highly valued when you have a team spread in different time zones and physical spaces, working asynchronously most of the time!
3. Slack Connect
Did you feel that struggle of only communicating with partners on paid Slack plans? This is no longer a limitation.
Administrators can now activate Slack Connect with free teams as well, improving communication and strengthening relationships with all partners with no associated cost.
Slack Connect is the best way for companies to collaborate with external organizations, fast and secure. The same way you invited teams, partners or clients to work in your office, you can do almost the same with Slack Connect, granting a safe place for everyone’s collaboration in your digital HQ.
For this feature, you must have the Enterprise Grid plan.
2. Quip
1. Document References & Unread Comments
Do you know that moment when you’re scrolling down a Quip document and need to find another that is related to the same subject? This is the feature for you!
With Document References, available with Quip Advanced, Quip Plus and Quip Starter, Quip users can now overview a comprehensive list of documents that are linked to and from the document they’re in. This boosts how your teams navigate and discover relevant content!
It helps you see the links to and from the document in just one place. Once you open the Quip Document, find References next to the document title right away!
Plus, notify your team when there’s an update on the Quip Document with comments. You can determine which comment threads need more attention, can mark comments as read or unread and keep you updated on changes within each document.
2. Header Formatting Enhancements
Now you can insert any heading size on Quip. Improving its navigation, you can now insert H4 to H6 heading sizes to your text. You will love the increase in document readability!
3. Engagement Metric Enhancements
Last but not least, capturing accurate Quip engagement metrics are now quickly. With reduced update times from 48 to 24 hours, you can now improve your decision-making with access to reliable analytics on your team’s adoption of Quip and their engagement with the platform.
