4 best platforms for Salesforce Certification

Hello, fellow avid Stellaxius follower! We hope to find you well, today we come with an article we hope can help you prepare with the right tools for any given Salesforce certification! 

‘’How?”, you might ask yourself. There are so many Salesforce Certifications… Well, the fundamental basis for any of them is the same, knowledge, theoretical and practical knowledge. Once you master the tools to acquire them you can make yourself ready for any Salesforce challenge! 

So, let’s say you are trying to prepare yourself for certification, how do you study? Moreover, how do you prepare yourself for the exam? How do you know the type of questions that show on the exam? 

Fortunately, there are several salesforce platforms that can help you. Some of the platforms I mention in this article will help you understand the structure of the exam, others will be more ‘’hands-on’’ with practical exercises and others will be strictly theoretical, but all of them useful in their one way. Above all, these are my favourite:

1. Trailheads
2. Help Salesforce
3. Quizlet
4. Focusonforce

1. Trailheads 

This is a wonderful tool, you probably have tried it already, we hope! Trailhead gives you the opportunity to learn salesforce through online tutorials with lots of details. 

Here, Salesforce itself recommends some trails depending on the certification you are after, in order to prepare yourself. Also, you can find this information by accessing the Trailhead page and selecting your ‘’role’’ in the Salesforce roll (maybe you have more than one, we know, we know!). Finally, after selecting the role, you will find the certifications related to such a role and some will have those recommended trails! 

2. Help Salesforce 

By accessing this platform you can find an enormous amount of documentation with information about pretty much every topic in Salesforce. After all, you just have to  introduce the topic you are after and it will retrieve every document there is related to your search.  

3. Quizlet 

I have found Quizlet very useful in the past, it helps you prepare for a certification by using flashcards where you can find questions that are very similar to the ones you will have in your salesforce exam. Every flashcard has the right answer in the back and you might be tempted to peek for the right choice, but you must stay strong and only check after you have actually selected a choice! By accessing this website all you have to do is use the search bar and introduce the name of the certification you are preparing yourself for and voilà, multiple exams will show up! 

4. Focusonforce 

I left the best for last, this is truly an amazing platform! Focusonforce is a website 100% dedicated to Salesforce, where you can find study guides and practice exams for multiple certifications. Also, I have used it myself and is fantastic, but it comes with a catch … It’s not free, you will have to pay to have access. 

The study guides are very well written and detailed, and the practice exams have the same structure as the Salesforce certification exams. Above all, if you choose to buy the practice exams you will gain access to multiple exams, one per topic and various ‘’global exams’’. In conclusion, when you finish the exam it will show you your score and every question will tell you which was the right answer and why. 

Finally, to pay or not to pay, that’s the question, right? Well, you are the one who will decide, obviously. All I can say is that when I used it I passed with flying colors.
